Statement from Governor Jan Brewer - Veterans Day

Statement

"On Tuesday, Americans will pause to pay tribute to the men and women who have served in our nation's armed forces.

"Throughout history, our veterans have sacrificed life and limb -- at home and abroad, in times of peace, war and uncertainty -- to defend our values and protect our way of life. We are blessed to live in freedom, and among heroes who risk everything to ensure it.

"To the brave soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen who have worn their uniform with pride and served our country with integrity, we thank you. To those who laid down their lives in the name of American independence, we will never forget you. To all current and future service members, we keep you and your families in our thoughts, and pray that God keeps you safe in your honorable mission."
